From digital still photography to motion graphics, many of the projects that I work on involve some component of media. The works highlighted below place a heavy emphasis on the media itself.
A VIRTUAL TOUR FOR REDBIRD ALUMNI
This "Bone Student Center Tour" video was created for the Division of Student Affairs to send to alumni and friends — those who have contributed financially or otherwise to the Division's initiatives.
This video was written by Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Danielle Miller-Schuster; produced by Director of Marketing and Communications Megan Rolfs and Assistant Director for Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement Amanda Highland; and shot, directed, and edited by Head Multimedia Specialist Hunter Scott Thomas.
After use by the Division of Student Affairs, University Marketing and Communications picked up the video and adapted it as a "tour" for the general public. The adapted video was shared from the University's flagship Facebook account.
DIGITAL STILL PHOTOGRAPHY
Unless otherwise noted, all photographs were shot by Hunter Scott Thomas on a Canon EOS 70D and edited in Adobe Lightroom. The photos were taken on a fun- or freelance-basis — sometimes, both.
This motion graphic was created in my role as Events and Communications Specialist for Sycamore Community School District 427. It was designed in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects. The motion graphic was made to be loopable — for posting to social media after a sporting event "win."
NEWS VIDEO | "Bloomington Streets"
This news package was produced for Illinois State University's TV-10 News, on deadline, for broadcast. It was written, tracked, and reported by Diego Hernandez and shot and edited by Hunter Scott Thomas.
